Executive Director's Message

Planning for Today and Building for our Future
This winter is a very busy time at Temple Emanu-El. Our construction project continues to move forward at a good pace and the mounds of soil in our courtyard are now being transformed in to what will be our new staircase to transition us from the ballroom lobby to our new multipurpose room.
It’s exciting to see this project come together and wonderful to have the commitment to our Campaign for the Next Generation continue at all levels. Funds from the campaign are what make our construction project possible. Know that your support for the campaign is still needed. Thus, if you have not yet made your pledge let me or our Chairs Howard Breindel, Bob Cook and Steve Rogers know when you would like to get together and learn how you can.
Construction and the Campaign help us prepare for the future. At the same time we are actively planning for our winter and spring events, and even the 5773 High Holy Days (more about that in our next issue!!) where we hope that you will be present. In particular we ask that you save the evening of March 10th , 2012 where we will honor Bob Cook with the Founders’ Award, Arthur Sinensky, with the Community Leaders’ Award and Karen Farber with our Young Leadership award. We will be introducing a new format for our gala that is certain to be fun and elegant.
