Executive Director's Message

Celebrating Those That Inspire!
On Saturday evening March 2nd, Temple Emanu-El hosted its 85th Annual Dinner Dance where we honored Mark and Debra Hirschberg with the Founders' Award, Michael Kollender with the Community Leadership Award, and Donna Weintraub with the Young Leadership Award.
I was delighted that we had the opportunity to recognize these very special people for all that they have done and continue to do to make our shul a second home for our congregation. It was also a wonderful way to celebrate the Temple's 8th anniversary.
In case you did not know the Dinner Dance is our single largest event fundraiser and provides essential dollars for our operating budget (think books for our religious school, tutors for our b'nai mitzvah and upkeep of our beautiful building).
And as we relish the special moments from the Dinner Dance we are also moving ahead to raise the remaining dollars needed to reach our Dor Chadash - Campaign for the Next Generation (CNG) goal. As I write this we have raised 88% of the total goal. Our beautiful and very active Promenade level was made possible by the generosity of those that have made a financial commitment to CNG. There are still much needed renovations for our administrative wing to provide increased security and serve you better. To our congregants that have made a gift I thank you, and to those that have not I invite you to contribute by being a part of our Promenade level Dedication Wall. For more information you can contact Bob Cook, Steve Rogers, Arthur Sinensky, and Howard Breindel, our CNG Co-Chairs.
Finally, I invite you to make note of the many activities taking place during March and April, including Sisterhood Shabbat on March 16th, our Second Night Seder on March 26th, and Men's Club Shabbat on April 30th as well as many other opportunities to socialize, learn, and be together. I hope you take advantage of all that Temple Emanu-El has to offer!!
Chag Sameach,
Ilene Anesini Executive Director
