Shalom and welcome to Temple Emanu-El’s web site. For more than 80 years, we've sustained an atmosphere of warmth and spirituality that brings families back from generation to generation.  Like our Temple, we hope that you find this site inviting and resourceful. However, nothing can substitute for the warmth and magic of physically being part of our community. Whether studying in an adult education class, praying in one of our Shabbat services, attending a youth program or participating in a social program at the Temple, the spirit of Temple Emanu-El will make you feel closer to home and closer to God. We hope that this site brings you closer too.

Please surf each page and learn more about our Kehilla Kedosha, our sacred community and the many opportunities for your involvement here.

TEMPLE EMANU-EL STANDS WITH ISRAEL

Join a community-wide solidarity rally for Israel.

This Sunday, January 11th
from 6-7 PM
at the Kaplen JCC on the Palisades
411 East Clinton Avenue, Tenafly

WHAT YOU CAN DO:

  1. Pray for the safety of Israel and the Israeli soldiers. Join us in Temple on Shabbat for additional prayers for our homeland and those who defend Her.  For a prayer please click here.
  2. Write letters to the editors of newspapers and websites and blog about Israel's right, legally and morally, to defend its citizens. Remember, there is no "proportionate response" when it comes to defending terrorism.   For a sample letter click here.
  3. Call your member of Congress and encourage them to issue statements in support of Israel's right to defend its citizens from terrorism.  For talking points or a sample letter please click here.
  4. Speak proudly and unapologetically about Israel's right to defend itself against Hamas and terror. Don't feel shy or not well informed. Speak loudly and proudly of our homeland.
