Library Opening
Come share a light nosh with us, mingle in our cozy and comfortable space, find that holiday recipe, or curl up with a favorite Jewish book. The library has transformed into an inviting space in which to browse and sit. We want you to be part of our celebration.
Guest Speaker
Come meet and hear Arie Kaplan, MAD Magazine writer, comedy writer, animation writer, screenwriter, lecturer, pop culture expert and author of “From Krypton to Krakow: Jews and Comic Books” tells how Jews brought a uniquely Jewish perspective to their work and to the comic book industry.
Mitzvah Day ‘08 Drop off your gently used or new children’s books and some “bucks” to cover the shipping charges and we will send the books to two schools in Israel: The Psagot School near Tsfat and The Dror High School right outside Netanya.
High quality books only.
In addition, child and young adults will have the opportunity to create book plates and write letters to students in Israel.
