Help for Women Victims of Domestic Violence. Is this you or someone you know... Living with Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde? Walking on eggshells? Blamed for his anger? Have to account for spending? A confidential women’s psycho-educational support group, professionally facilitated, is starting at Jewish Family Service of Bergen and North Hudson (JFS), 1485 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, New Jersey. Group will meet every other Wednesday for 6 weeks, 7:15pm– 8:30pm. Pre-registration and free consultation required. Cost per meeting $5. Privacy preserved. CHANGE THE WORLD-ONE CHILD AT A TIME - Do you have some free time after you drop the kids at school? Are you retired and looking for something meaningful to do with your time? All you need is one hour per week and the desire to help a child learn to read. Consider becoming a Bergen Reads Literacy Volunteer. SUPPORT GROUP FOR CAREGIVERS - A Caregiver's Support group for those involved in the care of an older adult who is physically frail or suffering from memory loss is being offered at the Kaplan JCC on the Palisades. Support Groups take place each month on the second Wednesday at 7:30 pm and the fourth Thursday at 11 am. Meetings are free and open to the public.
